End User License Agreement

1. Introduction

This End User License Agreement (“Agreement”) is a legal contract between you (“User”, “you”) and Van Life Buddy (“VLB”, “we”, “our”, “us”). By installing, accessing, or using the VLB app or website, you agree to be bound by this Agreement.

If you do not agree, do not install or use Van Life Buddy.

2. License Grant

We grant you a limited, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable, revocable license to:

• install the VLB app
• access the VLB website
• use the app’s features for personal, non‑commercial van‑life travel

You may not use VLB for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose.

3. Ownership & Intellectual Property

Van Life Buddy is owned and operated by us.

All rights, title, and interest in:

• the software
• the design
• the UI/UX
• the database structure
• the map system
• the safety ping architecture
• the Trust Circle system
• the marketplace framework
• all logos, branding, and content

remain our exclusive property.

This Agreement does not transfer any ownership rights to you.

4. Restrictions

You agree not to:

• copy or reproduce the app
• modify or create derivative works
• reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software
• bypass security or access restricted areas
• scrape or extract data from the app
• use automated tools to interact with VLB
• rent, lease, sublicense, or distribute the app
• use VLB to build a competing product

Any violation may result in account termination and legal action.

5. Updates & Changes

We may provide updates, patches, or new versions of VLB. These updates may:

• add features
• remove features
• improve performance
• fix bugs
• change functionality

By using the app, you agree to receive updates automatically.

6. Safety Features & Limitations

VLB includes optional safety tools such as:

• periodic safety pings
• Trust Circle alerts
• SOS mode

These tools are assistive features only. They do not replace emergency services, roadside assistance, or professional help.

We are not responsible for:

• missed alerts
• delayed notifications
• lack of nearby users
• inaccurate map results
• user behavior during emergencies

You assume all risks associated with travel and safety decisions.

7. Marketplace & Listings (Future Feature)

If you use the marketplace:

• you are responsible for your listings
• you must comply with local laws
• VLB is not responsible for transactions
• VLB may remove listings at its discretion
• service providers may pay for placement or visibility

We do not guarantee buyer or seller performance.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your license if:

• you violate this Agreement
• you misuse the app
• you attempt to reverse engineer the software
• required by law

You may stop using the app at any time.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

VLB is provided “as is” and “as available.”

We do not guarantee:

• uninterrupted service
• error‑free operation
• accurate map data
• successful SOS responses
• availability of nearby users
• marketplace reliability

You use the app at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, VLB is not liable for:

• personal injury
• property damage
• loss of data
• missed alerts
• inaccurate map results
• user interactions
• marketplace disputes
• travel decisions made using the app

Your safety and actions are your responsibility.

11. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the United States and the state of California.

12. Changes to This Agreement

We may update this EULA as VLB evolves. Updates will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
